ABOUT US
The conventional approach to health sees the body as a set of separate parts, each needing their own separate treatments. Our current healthcare system is designed to see the body as separate and apart. With each section designated to a specialist in that section. Not a bad idea when everyone is aware of what the other is doing. At times, communication among doctors are missed. This can leave many vulnerable to over-medication. Take a look around you at Nature itself, and you will see that it is not set up this way. There are no separations between any of our systems. They are all intricately woven and connected in a brilliant dance that only nature could orchestrate, and so is our body.
At A Balanced You, we design our treatments using this whole body philosophy.
The most heartfelt compliments we hear from our clients is "We get treated like a person here, not just a name on a form". The members of our team pride themselves on creating a caring and compassionate atmosphere, where our treatment revolves around our clients.
Our latest journey began in 2015 when we opened our doors in Riverside, Jacksonville. Since then, we have treated clients from our surrounding communities, with clients from Northern Florida, Southern Georgia and beyond. We welcome you to our family!
Our Story
We began as a longtime dream of owner and manager Rosemarie Allen, who saw the need for alternative healthcare methods for those that had grown weary with conventional medicine. While we do advocate Natural Health and healing, we seek to complement not replace traditional Western methods, completing the circle of healing.
Ms. Allen has earned several academic degrees including M.S. in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando, Florida, Diplomat of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Florida College of Integrative Medicine, Orlando Florida. B.S. in Allied Health Studies from Florida College of Integrated Medicine - Orlando, Florida. A.S in Physical Therapy at Miami-Dade Community College - Miami, Florida, and a Diploma in Swedish Massage Therapy at Alpha School of Massage in Jacksonville, Florida.
Ms. Allen has also received several awards including an Award of Distinction, an Award of Excellence. and an Award of Merit from Cedar Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Dedicated to providing outstanding service to our clients, the clinical experience of our staff spans over twenty-five years in the healthcare industry.
